What Could Be More Boulder Than A Wine And Bluegrass Festival?

At one point in my life, the quality of my summer was predicated on how many festival wristbands dangled from the stick shifter of my old Land Rover Discovery. While things are definitely different at age forty-one (husband and father of four), my passion for music festivals has not waivered.

Living in Colorado affords music lovers a plethora of festival options. With so many of them taking place in our beautiful, high country, Grapes & Grass blends downtown Boulder convenience, with the pristine, lush grounds of the Highland City Club.

After selling out the inaugural event in 2017, the team here at Boulder LIfestyle saw what could make this event even more inviting going forward.

  • Kid Friendly – We heard you loud and clear parents. After a long work week, leaving your kiddo’s all day on a Saturday can make us all feel a little guilty. Kids 12 / under are now free with a paying adult. There will be a variety of kids activities from 10:30am – 2:30pm.

    • NOTE: Make sure to arrive early as an interactive Drum Safari for kids kicks off the event at 10:45am on Saturday 8/25.

  • Tech Nerds Rejoice –  The Grapes & Grass team has partnered with Denver-based tech company, Spigot Labs, who specializes in festival technology. Guests can purchase, rate, and save their favorite wines, all by touching their wrist band to censors at the vending areas.

    • NOTE: Once you find that wine you can’t live without, this technology allows you to put a purchase request for the product at The Boulder Wine Merchant, with a nice G&G discount, directly from your mobile device!

  • After Grass @ Boulder Theater – While the main event has to adhere to residential noise ordinances, and a 9:30 curfew, you can keep the party going late into the evening with GASOLINE LOLLIPOPS / DRUNKEN HEARTS concert at the historic Boulder Theater on 8/25.

    • NOTE: Entrance to “After Grass” is complimentary with any 8/25 Grapes & Grass ticket.
