Avery Brewing and eTown Blend Craft Beer and Live Music

Two iconic Boulder institutions are joining forces to combine two of Boulder’s greatest loves — craft beer and live music. Avery Brewing Company, a family-owned Boulder craft brewery, is the proud new partner of eTown, a nonprofit company producing musical, social and environmental radio programming to uplift and inspire listeners around the world.

Avery Brewing has been creating innovative beers since 1993, and as of June 1, 2016, Avery’s beers will now be poured at all events in eTown Hall, located in the heart of downtown Boulder.

Avery’s Brewhouse Manager Riley Finnigan added, “Many of us at Avery are musicians and even more of us are passionate about music. We do acoustic jams at the brewery after work, so to have eTown bringing world-class artists to Boulder is an inspiring thing to be around.”

Avery Brewing and eTown expect their partnership to strike a chord with many Boulderites and invite them to join them at eTown Hall for a pint. Craft your journey at

Frasca Food and Wine in Boulder, CO named as “Best Design / Most Original Wine List in the World”

The World of Fine Wine Magazine recently named Frasca Food and Wine in Boulder, CO as “Best Design / Most Original Wine List in the World” in their recently published “World’s Best Wine Lists”.

Summarized by judge Alder Yarrow, Frasca’s list was described as “incredibly educational, very well curated, beautifully presented. It has great depth where it needs to have it—if you want Nebbiolo, then we’ve got it! And it’s the vision of a sommelier, the work of someone who knows and loves wine who just happens to be running an Italian restaurant.”

Frasca Food and Wine is inspired by the region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located in the northeastern corner of Italy. The restaurant prides itself on a team of sommeliers and front of house staff who are incredibly versed on the regional cuisine and wines and whose passion is providing the warmth and hospitality inspired by the original frascas in northeastern Italy.

Sports Garage Grand Opening

Sports Garage Cycling, Boulder’s leading mountain bike retailer, announced a change of ownership and new strategic vision in mid-July.  Established in 1994 and housed in two World War II-era Quonset huts, SG has long been regarded as Boulder’s “speakeasy” of mountain biking and road cycling: a best kept secret. The shop led the nation in sales of Yeti, Santa Cruz and Pivot mountain bikes in recent years. New Owner Brad James will launch programs that build upon SG’s core values, well-curated brands and strong community foundation. “I remember my first experience in Sports Garage, and I know all too well that this business has been built by a long line of fellow customers, alumni and community members,” says James. A VIP event to celebrate SG’s heritage and future will be held in late August.
