Audi Boulder Wins Community Valentine Project

Kuni Automotive, a dealership located in California, Colorado, Oregon and Washington, decided to do something to show how much they cared for and appreciated their community partners in each state. Kuni created a community valentine project through social media to help spread the word of these incredible organizations. Each of Kuni’s dealerships chose one of their community partners to highlight and they created a series of valentines to share on Facebook. There was a contest to see which valentine or community partner could generate the most likes on Facebook in order to win a donation from Kuni Automotive. The winner of the contest was Audi Boulder which received 246 likes, as well as the generous donation of $2,500 to their chosen Valentine, Bridge House.

Frasca’s Bobby Stuckey Named Sommelier of the Year

According to Wine Enthusiast, Bobby Stuckey of Frasca Food and Wine is the deserving recipient of the title “best sommelier in the country.” This award does not come as a surprise to anyone familiar with the restaurant located on Pearl Street in Boulder. Stuckey’s passion for wine is evident as he still floats through the dining room nightly to offer genuine and impassioned recommendations to his guests. This authentic eagerness to provide guests with the best experience possible is a major reason why the restaurant was nominated for the James Beard Award for Outstanding Wine Service from 2010-2012, and won the prestigious prize in 2013. On January 26, 2015, Bobby Stuckey was honored at the Wine Enthusiast Wine Star Awards Gala in New York City. Huge Congratulations to Boulder’s own!

Boulder’s 28th Annual MahlerFest

Colorado’s beautiful spring weather coincidentally brings more opportunities to be outside. One of those opportunities is the 28th annual MahlerFest, located in our very own Boulder. Robert Olson, who wanted to capture the essence of the life and music of the great composer Gustav Mahler, founded the festival in 1988. The week-long festival, from May 14-17, incorporates concerts, recitals, and scholarly symposia, with film, fine art, dance, theater and multimedia presentations. The week’s events culminate in two orchestral performances, which provide the perfect soundtrack to the beautiful weather May will bring.
