While most people agree they’d prefer to meet someone organically, i.e., in person or through mutual acquaintances, these days, everyone, from…

My initial reaction was disbelief but soon followed by an overwhelming sense of gratitude. We truly could not be more humbled and thankful for what the last five years have brought.

Go on, Give us a Smile

Ten fingers, ten toes, one strong wail. It’s how we imagine—we hope, rather—all children come into the world. But what happens when their first appearance is made with a cleft lip or palate, or congenital deformities classified as microtia? That’s where Dr. Catherine Weng, a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Peak Ear, Nose and Throat Center in Broomfield, and…

around 3 pounds total  + 2 tablespoons olive oil

We find a lot of inspiration on Instagram these days, and this month we connected with @darcie_shively AKA Darcie Shively, after spotting her fiber creations on our feed. Call it chance, and it ties in perfectly with Shively’s story. Her weavings have evolved to what she calls “records of chance,” designing patterns with primarily wool and cotton fiber pulp with…

It’s this image, one of friends gathered in conversation and laughter, that inspired Liberty Puzzles Founder and Co-owner Chris Wirth to create his unique Boulder business 14…

Samantha Trueheart (ST): What is your inspiration during your writing process?
Alaina Moore (AM): Patrick and I spent significant amounts of time sailing and living on a small sailboat. The first record we wrote was a literal, straight documentation of our first sailing trip. But since then sailing has taken an abstract place and has become a motivator to my creative life.…

Less is More

Yes, it is the dichotomy of my life. The SCI shows with the band are filled with great rewards, but sometimes great pressures. From setlist creations and special events, it can be a lot to shoulder. Sometimes the smaller solo gigs are a good release and a sense of stretching out from the “mothership,” a way to showcase where I…
