Hi, 2018

Let’s talk about New Year’s resolutions. Why do we set ourselves up for failure with lofty goals, that no matter how good, are inevitably a chain of compromises? I recently read an interesting article about goal setting and the best advice was to break down resolutions into smaller goals with no set in stone date.

Warren Miller Entertainment’s hometown screenings for its 68th feature film, Line of Descent, presented by Volkswagen were a great success. Boulder In Motion

The Dailey Method philosophy (created by Jill Dailey) had taken off around the world when Emma Heckman Updike and her three silent partners Carrie Krane, Katie Cook and Natalie Gorman knew Boulder needed to open its own location. And so, the Dailey Method Boulder opened in April 2015. The studio offers various Dailey Barre courses that aim to work and…

DECONSTRUCTED DISHES

Rather than ignore her cravings, chef, and former pro athlete Lentine Alexis decides to listen to them. She was faced with these cravings when her husband was relocated to Okinawa, Japan for his job as a Special Forces Operator. Alexis wanted to find an outlet for her passions abroad and entered short, triathlon races which eventually led to conquering full-distance,…

January 2018 Back Stage

Music festivals and Colorado go together like hops and IPA’s. As the world-famous Telluride Bluegrass Festival prepares for a 45th annual event, one could argue that Colorado is the birthplace of the modern day music festival. While most of these multi-day music parties take place under the warm summer sun, Winter Wondergrass has taken a uniquely Colorado approach, and friends,…

FINDING TRANQUILITY

It’s fair to say that today’s world is anything but tranquil. From email notifications making your phone ping every five minutes to sitting in a traffic-filled commute, it’s hard to find five minutes to yourself.

OV USE YOUR OUTDOOR VOICE

A born and raised Boulderite is doing big things in the athletic apparel arena. This statement might not come off as a surprise, but the details will. Tyler Haney, only 28, is using her outdoor voice to bring in a (much needed) new era of activewear that highlights Doing Things instead of the age-old credo of being better, faster, harder…

KOMBUCHA FROM HERE

Light and effervescent. The rose is subtle yet present, making for a fun and atypical flavor, without a strong underlying vinegar taste. Upstart mentions that after fermentation, the roses almost taste like grapefruit, and I couldn't agree more. The simplicity of ingredients (water, organic cane sugar, rose buds, organic white tea, rose tea blend) made for a refreshing and easy drink.

Audi | Q5

The Audi Q5 is everything that I expected from the brand. A beautiful leather interior and sleek exterior.

Finding a Miracle

In many ways, Mila is just like any other seven-year-old girl.
She smiles constantly and giggles uncontrollably as her mother plays make-believe with her. Today, they’re in a snow-covered field with Olaf (Mila’s favorite character from Frozen). Nearby, her little brother Azlan is running through the forest as a tiger.

The Keto Effect

A focused mind; steady energy; reduced body aches and pains—like (very upbeat) broken records, those who’ve taken on ketogenic diets continuously tout the game-changing benefits of overhauling their habits and committing to keto. Though the diet can be restrictive and challenging at first, this is hardly a price to pay considering the dramatic health benefits it boasts: it is known…
