An Evening with Ghost Light – Dead & Co. After Party
On July 5th, 2019 the Boulder Theater will host Ghost Light – Dead & Co. After Party. Come out for an amazing evening! Though the performances on the album are laser-focused, the group’s live shows are a far looser affair, with tracks frequently blossoming into extended improvisational journeys dictated by the emotional temperature of the room on any given night. Songs turn into wordless conversations between all five members, a tide-like give-and-take that makes each show wholly engrossing and utterly unique. Tickets below.
Summer Picnicking with Cured
Cured, has the perfect summer picnic baskets and boxes for any occasion, whether you’re looking for something to accompany a day spent hiking, with the “Colorado Backcountry Picnic”, a pre-concert Red Rocks Box tailgate feast, or to go all-out with a “Proper Picnic”. One of the latest additions to the Cured collection is the Picnic and Puzzle box. Created in collaboration with Liberty Puzzles, also out of Boulder, the box includes hand-drawn puzzle pieces that fit together to depict an inviting picnic scene from American modernist painter, Florine Stettheimer. And because no picnic is complete without the accompanying cuisine, the box also contains:
A cheese board for two laden with Cured’s favorite cheeses, charcuterie, fresh and dried fruits, nuts and olives
Cured homemade Rancho Gordo Hummus
And two delicate lavender butter cookies

Frasca Food and Wine Brings Home James Beard Foundation Award
Boulder’s own Frasca Food and Wine took home its third James Beard Foundation Award at the annual award ceremony held at the Lyric Opera in Chicago on May 6. Considered the “Oscars of the food and beverage world,” the James Beard Foundation awarded Frasca the Outstanding Service award for its dedication to superb hospitality, a sentiment that resonates deeply with co-founder and Master Sommelier, Bobby Stuckey. Frasca went up against five other nominated restaurants: Canlis in Seattle; Saison and Swan Oyster Depot, both in San Francisco; Brigtsen’s in New Orleans; and Zingerman’s Roadhouse in Ann Arbor, Mich. Bobby accepted the award on behalf of the entire Frasca staff and partners Lachlan Mackinnon Patterson and Peter Hoglund, along with general manager (and Frasca employee since day one) Rose Votta, noting in his speech the importance of the entire team in creating a quality guest experience. Frasca previously won James Beard Foundation Awards for Best Chef: Southwest in 2008, under chef Lachlan Mackinnon Patterson, and Outstanding Wine Program in 2013. This year also marks Frasca’s 15th anniversary of providing outstanding hospitality to the Boulder community and beyond.
