Over the course of 25 years and ten albums, the New Orleans-formed group The Subdudes have quietly become one of America’s national music treasures. Led by singer/guitarist Tommy Malone and accordionist, John Magnie, they draw most of their inspiration from the sounds of their native New Orleans, blending blues, gospel, funk and R&B with their own harmony vocals; their sound is also notable for the band’s substitution of a tambourine player, Steve Amedée, for a drummer. Tim Cook rounds out the band on bass.

Unbound to one regimen, but best described as a bluegrass-based band, The SteelDrivers are defined by quality and consistency. What began as a casual get-together in 2005 became a fully committed band that signed with Rounder Records in 2007. With four highly acclaimed albums and any number of Rogers, bassist Mike Fleming, guitarist Kelvin Damrell, mandolinist Brent Truitt and banjoist Richard Bailey make there rounds to festivals and venues across the U.S.

Joy Williams is the winner of four Grammy Awards. She has released four solo albums and four EPs since her self-titled debut in 2001. She was half of The Civil Wars from 2009 until 2014, after which she released her solo LP, 2015’s VENUS. Her current tour precedes the release of her highly anticipated new album, Front Porch, due later this spring via Sensibility/Thirty Tigers. Two songs from the forthcoming record—“Canary” and “The Trouble With Wanting”—were recently released to critical acclaim.

It counts what has unfolded in the wake of his last album, Mangy Love, which was named a “Best Rock Album of the Year” by Pitchfork, featured in the Washington Post’s “Best Music of 2016,” plus many other best of 2016 lists, and was his overall most critically praised album.
