There’s been some new developments—literally—in Louisville and Boulder Lifestyle has the insider scoop on
Designed for Life
When it comes to creating the ideal living space, there’s no “one size fits all” approach sure to suit every potential homeowners’ needs, preferences and lifestyle. This is a view that Boulder Creek Neighborhoods firmly believes and, with their Downtown East Louisville (DELO) project, they have brought these principles of flexibility and purpose in design to life.
“Boulder Creek Neighborhoods is known across the Front Range for the lifestyles that their homes and communities facilitate,” says David Sinkey, president, and CEO of Boulder Creek Neighborhoods. “We build low-maintenance homes designed around living that allow buyers to return to their passions. DELO is an innovative community that features homes designed from the start to be different from the standard two-story family home.”
Located with incomparable access and walkability to Old Town Louisville, the DELO community is made up of townhomes, office spaces, apartments and retail locations. With unique floorplans to accommodate a variety of living needs and desires, from three-car garages to numerous bedrooms, flex spaces and main-floor living, DELO offers homeowners the ability to take advantage of the best of Louisville living while enjoying the modern finishes and latest construction technologies in a new home.
The design prowess of the DELO community is matched by the impeccable details and craftsmanship it features. Combining brick, stone and colored stucco to create wholly modern streetscapes, DELO homes also include beautiful covered decks and patios perfect for enjoying the Colorado sunshine. All these benefits make DELO an extraordinary place to live—not to mention the community’s proximity to Old Town Louisville.
“It’s hard to overstate the convenience factor of living at DELO,” says David.
From the overall geographical benefits of living in Louisville (easy access to Boulder, Denver and Denver International Airport) to the small town charm, street fairs, events, world-class restaurants, eclectic shops and farmers markets that personify the highly sought after Louisville area, DELO embodies all the best that Louisville living has to offer.
“We love the floorplan of our townhome and all the natural light it brings in,” says one DELO homeowner. “We were also very drawn to the walkability of DELO to Old Town Louisville. It’s great to be able to so easily walk to community events, live music and the farmers market in the warmer months, as well as restaurants, cafes, yoga studios, grocery stores, trails and so much more!”
Wellness for All
A Hub of Health & Well-Being at the Newly Renovated Louisville Recreation & Senior Center
Some might say we’re spoiled here in Boulder County, what with our ample sunshine and near-constant views of the Flatirons and Front Range. But taking in the mountains while exercising at the newly renovated Louisville Recreation & Senior Center is a beautiful reminder of just what a special place Boulder County, and Louisville in particular, truly is to live in.
A mainstay of the Louisville community since 1990, the Louisville Recreation & Senior Center aims to provide a place for Louisville’s residents of all ages to enjoy recreational activities and leisure services to enhance their overall wellness. The center’s recent renovation was the result of a grassroots initiative by community members, from youths to seniors, voicing their needs and desires for a larger facility.
“Our goals with the renovation were to increase both our space and program offerings,” says Kathy Martin, superintendent of Recreation and Senior Services with the City of Louisville. “We’re so excited to have been able to double our square footage and add so many new programs, spaces and amenities.”
The Louisville Recreation & Senior Center truly has something for everyone to enjoy. The new building was designed to take advantage of the abundant daylight that Colorado’s 300 annual days of sunshine provide. From a new turf gym to two new pools, a cardiovascular and weight room with Flatiron views, spin studio, racquetball courts, gymnasium, game rooms, multi-purpose rooms and so much more, the revamped facility continues to be a focal point of Louisville living.
“We hope to be the hub of the community and to be able to offer infants to seniors the opportunity to learn, grow and age all in one place,” says Kathy, “and this renovation has helped us achieve that.”
