Hi, 2018

Let’s talk about New Year’s resolutions. Why do we set ourselves up for failure with lofty goals, that no matter how good, are inevitably a chain of compromises? I recently read an interesting article about goal setting and the best advice was to break down resolutions into smaller goals with no set in stone date.

Do you want to kick in healthier habits and it’s not January 1st? Go for it. No matter the date or time, there’s no better time than the now to better yourself.

Regardless of your personal goals throughout the year, a common resolution is to live a healthier lifestyle. Whether it’s working out more, eating better, taking time to relax or decluttering the home, something’s gotta give. Personally, I want to stress less and eat better.

With that in mind, the January issue is chock-full of helpful ways to lead a healthy life. Including tips from yoga guru Amy Ippoliti, new fitness trends to try, deconstructed nutritious recipes by Chef Lentine Alexis and learning to create a tranquil space from Matthew Tenzin of Home Harmonics.

Lastly, we featured a family searching for a cure to save their seven-year-old daughter, Mila, who was diagnosed with Batten Disease. Please take time to read about Mila’s Miracle Foundation and learn more about their fight at GoFundMe.com/SavingMila or visit StopBatten.org.

We hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and are ready to take on an exciting new year.
