Where Old Meets New 15

The Roadhouse Boulder Depot, deeply rooted in Boulder history, has found a way to add twists on the classic dishes we know and love.

The Roadhouse Boulder Depot is an American-casual restaurant that mixes old and classic with trendy and modern for a truly unique dining experience. The building was constructed in 1890 as the local train station and moved around the area before finding its final home off of Pearl Street behind the Hyatt Place and the bike path in 2015.
While the outside of the building is preserved, the inside is remodeled to fit in with modern times. Velvet booths, purple leather bar stools, subway tile and rustic wood step you outside of the past and give you a chance to look toward the future.

The Roadhouse Boulder Depot’s menu has classic steakhouse favorites that will satisfy your entire party. But don’t be fooled—just because the menu offers classic fares does not mean it’s like anything you’ve had before. The burgers are made from Colorado hormone-free beef, the homemade chips are crisped to perfection, and you don’t want to miss out on the Garlic Shrimp Paleo Bowl—a gluten-free zucchini linguini with flavor-packed shrimp in a refreshing coconut-citrus broth.

Start your meal with a variety of appetizers and short plates. The sweet but tangy baked brie topped with a Colorado peach marmalade or the fresh, raw oysters are sure to be crowd-pleasers at any party or business gathering.

And don’t forget to add a drink to the mix with their 25 beers on tap or with a specialty cocktail. We recommend trying one of their many Moscow Mule options like the Blueberry Mule made with Stoli Blueberry Vodka or the Colorado Mule made with Fireside Colorado Whiskey. Or enjoy the end of summer break with the Raindrop Martini made with Orange and Lemon Stoli on the patio looking at views of Mount Sanitas.

Finish off your meal with a gluten-free Chocolate Sin Cake that’s as classic as the vanilla ice cream it’s next to; or with the Colorado Peach Cobbler that’s topped with a homemade cinnamon butter crumble.

The Roadhouse Boulder Depot is a hidden gem in Boulder. Its food is packed with flavor and comes in large, satisfying portions that won’t break the bank—and the ambiance is just as refreshing and fun. By mixing old classics with new and trendier favorites, The Roadhouse Boulder Depot has found the sweet spot that will keep us coming back for more.
