There’s something so rejuvenating about the month of May. The trees are awakening, flowers are budding to say hello to the sun, summer travel plans are closer than ever and it’s finally wedding season. I’m starting to think May is my favorite time of year.
That’s why this issue revolves around wedding and travel, two of the loveliest topics. We ventured up 9,000 feet to style a mountain modern shoot with Boulder’s best, and featured a very unique union of two artists in the Boulder backcountry.
We also included two travel features, one close to home and the other far away. San Francisco, aka “the city,” has well-earned its slogan, “Paris of the West.” There’s so much to see, eat and do in this city by the bay. By far our biggest obsession this month was colorful Cuba. My Grandparents immigrated to the United States from Cuba many years ago and the culture has survived the passage of time and generations in my family. With tensions loosening for the first time since the Cold War, it’s an exciting time to share stories and recipes de Cuba with our readers. Also, check out the creative styled shoot “Dreaming of Havana” artistically done by Studio Be Salon.
I hope you all enjoy the May flowers and we encourage you to read Boulder Lifestyle alfresco. This special month only comes around once a year, enjoy it!
