1. Stock your bar
Find these local products at most Colorado liquor stores, like Boulder’s own Wine Merchant.

2. Prep ahead of time
Entertain on the fly with already-prepped cocktail essentials.
-Make simple syrup: Equal parts sugar and hot water, stir until sugar dissolves.
-Juice fresh lemons and limes: Citrus juicers can range from hand-held to electric; either way preparing in advance can cut time behind the bar when guests arrive.
3. Get to know your inner chef-tender
If they taste good together in your lunch, odds are they’ll be a good combo in your glass as well. Follow these steps to create a light and refreshing spring sipper.
- Choose a liquor
- Pour 1.5oz into a shaker with ice
- Add .75 oz fresh lemon or lime juice
- Add .75 oz sweetener
- Add fruits and/or veggies and muddle
- Add an accent and muddle
- Shake, and strain over fresh ice
- Top with soda if desired
